Homeschooling Resources
Many people have heard about homeschooling, but don’t really know much about it. Homeschooling students have been around since the 1970’s as an alternative to traditional schooling. Homeschooling was started as a way for students to receive instruction in a more comfortable environment.
As with any new idea, homeschooling has changed over the years. From the early days when it was not as acceptable with the education community because of the lack of knowledge on how to teach children properly to today when homeschooling groups provide the needed support for parents to teach currently. Support is available in the form of forums to ask questions of other homeschool teachers, groups where area homeschooling children can meet and interact, groups where parents of homeschooling children can exchange ideas and websites where parents can get Information on curriculum, teaching methods and other related areas.
Ideas 2 ideas was actually founded by homeschooling parents. Initially we provided support and information in the homeschooling community. We have participated in homeschooling forums; parents support groups and national conferences. We have always been here to help fellow homeschoolers and even though we have expanded our offerings, we are still very involved in homeschooling. So, to help others, we are happy to provide a few resources we think can help you in your homeschooling journey.
